Evans DE Reuben Faloughi on Vanderbilt’s watchlist

Evans High defensive end Reuben Faloughi is generating interest from Vanderbilt, Connecticut and Harvard, among others.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder attended “Dawg Night” prospect camp at Georgia last month. Faloughi said Georgia’s coaches seemed interested, especially because of his athletic potential and solid academics, but did not offer a scholarship.

“Right now, Georgia wants me to be a preferred walk-on, which I am debating,” Faloughi said. “I really like the program. I haven’t ruled out [being walk-on], but I’m checking out all my options.”

Faloughi, whose parents are from Nigeria, said he feels more confident about Vanderbilt, who said he was “high” on its recruiting board: “I just need to have a good senior season, and then I think everything will take care of itself.”
