UGA-bound Murray encourages teammate to commit to Dogs

Tight end Orson Charles of Tampa, Fla., said he was advised to commit to Georgia before he leaves Thursday for an unofficial visit to Florida State.

Not surprisingly, the encouragement came from quarterback Aaron Murray, his teammate at Plant High School, who has already committed to Georgia.

“Yeah, we talk all the time, and Aaron will also send me text messages telling me I should commit,” Charles said with a laugh.

The 6-foot-3, 227-pound Charles said he does not plan to pick a college until he takes his five official visits, and he has yet to narrow down to five schools.

Charles and Murray have been longtime friends, but have never been on the same team until this summer. Charles transferred to Plant for his senior year, and has high expectations.

“Aaron is amazing, he makes me look so good, I thank him all the time,” Charles said.

“I know he is great, but I didn’t realize how great, until I went to a ton of college camps without him there. So many of those other quarterbacks just weren’t the same [caliber], it was frustrating.”

UGA, simply the best! Better than all the rest! He’ll commit to UGA especially after this year’s National Championship — help us with that Back to Back!

— God bless us all, everyone! (but smite mine enemies: UF@gs, GT qveers, SideBurn Plainswomen, Rottencrotch Voles, etc.) Amen.

Time is of the essence, Orson. I would be willing to bet that the Dawgs are going to take only one tight end. Whoever commits first, Charles or Arthur Fontaine out of Mass. will get the scholarship.

Well it is obvious that GT is for Nancy Boys has renamed himself/herself as YellerSkeeters because of the use of ridiculous profanities, stupid inanities, and general overall idiocy and stupidity but especially the use of the distinctive “qveers” because it is such a cool and grown up thing to do in the preteen mind of a sixth grader. Yeller adds nothing to a blog except for profanity and juvenile attempts to insult and rile up fans of other schools by continued use of totally uncalled for trash mouth filth. It sure is easy to use all the vulgar language in an internet blog instead of saying it out loud in spoken conversation where Mom and Dad might hear it and punish you for such a foul mouth. Yeller should be blocked from posting until he/she realizes that conversations and discussions are possible without trying to impress the big kids with how many “cuss” words can be put into one sentence.

Obvious… I could not agree more.

Yeller, why don’t you grow up. You obviously have zero class, but at least you might want to add something insightful from time to time.

Being from the Tampa area we get to see this kid play some ball. He is a true gamer! I trust he will make the right decision and join the Dawg Nation. He smashes the Gaytors championship trophy while visiting the reptile campus and later commits to UGA. What a brilliant plan to keep the rivalry going. (LOL)

You doggies are nothing more than a bunch of brutes…Orson, you need to come to TECH where football dreams are going to be made. Paul Johnson is building a fabulous program, man by man the pieces are coming together. You would be a great fit in the tight end position. Johnson likes to coach hands on…you would get great insight into Johnson’s system.

Go TECH!!!!

Man, last year was great and this Year is going to be even better. The feeling you get from crushing those gators and watching there fans run out of the Stadium showing no support to their players well, need I say more. Go to UGA where you and Murry can perform some more grand stand clearing of gator fans, and it just keeps getting better everytime I watch that replay. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!

AJC cut off yellow skeeter. Not because he is immature but he is crude. It makes the paper look bad.

Now to football. I agree there may be only 1 tight end signed this year. Early signing is now the norm. Orson, don’t get left out if you really like UGA and they really like you. Great tight ends always develop under CMR. Plus Aaron will continue to make you look good. It is really not a big guessing game if you two are teammates like it might be at other schools.

Gatorzone so fla has 2 and uga has zero? what about 1980 (12-0-0) Other National Championships 1968 (8-1-2) 1966 (10-1-0) 1946 (11-0-0) 1942 (11-1-0) 1927 (9-1-0)

Also please remind me how many undefeated seasons FLA has? Not trying to bring up history but a good history lesson would be to look up how many SEC championships FLA had pre spurrier.

It looks to me that the dawgs are looking pass ASU which is #2 team in PAC-10 and USC THAT IS ONE THING THAT THEY CAN’T DO. BETTER NOT READ THOSE PRESS REPORTS AND GET THE BIG HEAD OR IT WILL BE ALONG SEASON.
