SEC programs intrigued by Eastside receiver

Kentucky and Vanderbilt continue to show strong interest in Eastside-Covington receiver Anderico Bailey.
“He already has a full offer to Akron and Presbyterian,” Eastside coach Rick Hurst said.
When it comes to lighting up the scoreboard, Hurst doesn’t hesitate to call on his 6-foot-1, 175-pound playmaker.
“He’s very athletic and he led the team in receptions and touchdowns the last two years,” Hurst said. “He has tremendous leaping ability.
“Anderico is fearless when it comes to getting the football out of the air. He’s a good prospect.”
Bailey, who has already visited Kentucky and Vanderbilt, will see some action at free safety this fall.
“He played some cornerback for us last year,” Hurst said. “I would like to limit him to the offensive side, but I’m not going to lose by having my best players sitting on the sidelines.”

Go Blue Hose. A great school that plays some very good small college football.

Wow, the kid has full offers to Akron and Presbyterian and has been getting strong interest from Kentucky and Vanderbilt. And this is news worthy how? I didn’t realize that the AJC pulls in great numbers of readers from any of those big time programs

You’re a moron Goldtimer. It’s not “big time” recruiting…it’s football recruiting. More teams play football than Georgia and Georgia Tech, small mind.

So Vanderbilt beats GA between the hedges in 2006…loses because of a last minute fumble in 2007…and Goldtimer thinks he’s funny…what a tool.
Well, Vandy is back between the hedges on Oct. 18 and it’ll be a good one again…
btw, Vandy & GA Tech start a series on Oct. 31, 2009 in Nashville, too…
Vanderbilt’s defensive backfield may be the best in all the SEC this year (we were 3rd overall in D last year)…I expect some low scoring games…
