Clemson among those after Cedar Shoals LB
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
It didn’t take Cedar Shoals first-year coach Xarvia Smith long during spring practice to determine that DeDe Lattimore will anchor the Jaguars’ defense this fall.
“He’s the real deal,” said Smith, a former Camden County assistant who recently replaced longtime Cedar Shoals coach Scott Wilkins. “He’s fast and very physical.”
Lattimore, a 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker, bench presses 320 pounds and squats 420 pounds.
He is weighing scholarship offers from Central Florida, Clemson, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Michigan, Oklahoma State and UAB.
Smith said he’s advised Lattimore to enjoy his summer while preparing for the upcoming season.
“I’ve discouraged him from going to camp,” Smith said. “Everyone already wants him. I’ve just encouraged him to have a good year and do well on his SAT.”

He hasn’t made the jump to commit to a lesser school due to the fact he is waiting on the ultimate offer to play @ Georgia Tech.

Wow, Clemson! That’s Big time South Carolina ball — you know what they say, “All dirt roads lead to Clemson!”
Too bad the YellerSkeeters didn’t offer … yet. They seem to be a team without an identity, much like their coach! Guess it is one of the perils of a BIG CITY like the ATL So scary, too many things can happen in a big City.
I can’t wait for the debut of STATE in the Dome, it will be refreshing to finally have some football played there. And, Curry should schedule the inaugural game against his alma mater. That will be a big game for everyone … especially since the Skeeters play in a downgraded stadium. QVEERS!
Hey AJC, give me some real news … who’s UGA looking at?

I see that our least favorite pimply faced middle school moron (GT is for Nancy Boys) is back with his vulgarity and inability to spell. Too bad his posts aren’t banned from the AJC, although I’m wondering what is a “Nancy Boy?” is that the latest and greatest insult being hurled around on sixth grade play grounds and in sixth grade gym classes? Also are qveers people who do all their shopping on line with the QVC channel?

You Clemson people sure start drinking early! I agree that your Tigers should be very good next year,(that is if you don’t choke again)but please don’t lump academics and football together! Good Grief, what an embarrassment!

I just cannot understand why so many of you make comments directly to me. I am not the writer of the column, I am commenting on the column — yet so many of you comment on my comments. Maybe the AJC should hire me since sooo many of you NERDS seem to be so interested in what I have to say … goofy pointdexters. I guess the truth, does indeed, HURT! And FYI, since you all seem to want to make it personal, I did indeed graduate from UGA (BA ‘91), and Ga State, and Emory too! HATE ON THAT BEEACTHES! Just because you don’t like my comments, doesn’t in any way make them false, your venomous attacks only reaffirm my comments!
“He’s Back,” it should be apparent what a “Nancy Boy” is: an effeminate male, “light in his loafers” or, most notably, any male student at The North Avenue Trade School (GayTech = qveers).
Whether you like it or not GA TECH IS FOR NANCY BOYS!

If you look at the top 27 (according to US News ranking) and eliminate Florida b/c that is not the South (Florida is NY transplanted) the only school that could arguably be a contender in the running as best Academic+Football school is UGA (ranked #20) but UGA is not in the mix here. The top 50 public national universities (US News reference)

Nancy Boy needs to realize that no one is making comments about what he writes but instead are making comments about him and his vulgar profane sophmoric language. I haven’t had the misfortune to meet a multiple (UGA, GSU, Emory) college graduate who uses the terms “Beeatches, Qveers, and Nancy Boys” but I do hear children who have just picked up a new profanity using terms that are very similar. I don’t believe that Nancy Boy has set foot on a college campus unless mommy and daddy drove him there and walked him around while holding his little hand so that he wouldn’t run out into traffic and get run over. (what a shame) I have no objection to anyone taking jabs at schools that they don’t support but I do object to insulting the kids who are being recruited and using gutter trash language in a anonymous blog.

Dede Latimore physically assaulted one of his coaches in 2008. He is a future criminal.
He should be lucky to even get recruited by any of those schools. Bubba Freeman, his teammate is the real deal at corner though.
