Tech ‘great fit’ for Kennesaw Mountain lineman
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Kennesaw Mountain coach Scott Jones wasn’t surprised when his program’s 6-foot-4, 265-pound lineman, Jay Finch, decided over the weekend to commit to Georgia Tech.
“He was offered by a lot of schools, but I feel like, and he did too, that Georgia Tech was a great fit for him,” Jones said.
“With some of the things they’ll be trying to do at Tech, I feel like he’s the kind of kid that can step in there and be looked at on either side of the football.
“With the football, education and career opportunity, he felt like it was the best fit for him.”
Finch chose the Jackets over Central Florida, East Carolina, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, N.C. State and Ole Miss.

Wow, what another great get for PJ and his ‘Jackets. We’re loading up on state talent, eat your heart out fleabags. I can’t wait until we put up 50+ on your preseason National Champs this November!

Ole Miss should be embarrassed. Goldtimer: You do realize that this kid and all these other ‘great gets’ won’t be on campus ‘til 1) they actually sign; and 2) they actually play one more year of high school ball? You do realize that, right?

Homedawg, PJ and his troops will do just fine with the talent they have on campus this year. The studs coming in next year will make it only worse for the fleabag fans. PJ and his troops will crush the mutts, just like his GSU Eagles ran up and down the field when they played them in Athens. Mark Rick and Van Gorder will not have an idea on how to stop the Jackets from dropping 50 on your team. Welcome to your worst nightmare, PJ’s offense is the wave of the future and will turn the series back to the way it was and should be.

Goldtimer, are you ok? What drugs are you on? Van Gorder has been gone for 3 years and Ga Southern lost that game. It is funny that you are now comparing Ga Tech to a division II school.

Goldtimer,
Are you off your meds this morning? Johnson’s offense isn’t the “wave of the future,” if anything it’s the offense my granddad played in back in high school.
Next, Georgia beat GSU 48-28 - I guess they didn’t “run up and down the field” quite enough that day.
Last, there is no football coach named “Rick” or Van Gorder in Athens.

G”Old”timer, senility? Dementia? Truly retarded? I hold you up as the poster child for GT fans everywhere! Keep up the good work!
I think your powers of prognosis are off though — the GSU you were referring to is STATE, and the running up the field was the DOME, and the opponent is Tech. Curry will be a great for for the NERDS!
