More offers for Tucker duo

The scholarship offers continue to mount for Tucker running back/linebacker Jonathan Davis and nose guard Deion Roberson.

“Jonathan already had offers from Central Florida and UAB, but he picked up offers from Louisville and South Carolina over the past week and a half,” Tucker coach Franklin Stephens said Monday.

“And Deion has picked up offers from West Virginia, Maryland, Louisville, Duke N.C. State and East Carolina.”

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Roberson, whose first offer came from the Mountaineers just over a month ago, capitalized on spring drills at Tucker during the month of May.

“Deion has made strides this year in spring practice,” Stephens said. “I think he’s finally turning it on and showing the signs of the player that he can be.

“I think that caught the attention of some people. I think [the recruiters] got excited about him. When he decides to play, he’s something to see. He can be a special player.”

Nobody cares … If it ain’t UGA, it ain’t worth jawing about!

Get onboard people, UGA’s National Championship season begins in August — our 6th (1927, ’42, ‘46, ‘68, ‘80) 2008! Consensus in 1942 & 1980 (splits the other years — like all of Tech’s).

Haters go to HE11 … sic’em Dawgs!

Oh yeah, by the way, GOD told me to write this. And before you object, it was not the Devil in disguise. I checked to see if there was a pitch-fork … there was no pointed tail, no horns. It was GOD and he is p** at the AJC.

God is good! A good Southern American.

Just thinking Dieon is a good player and just could be a Great player. But when it comes to practice he really dont show much interest. Coach Franklin has had issues with his practice habits. Which he has been thrown off the field or out of the gym. He is a very strong player. In one of the practice he and Nick Potts was going against each other and Nick dislocated his Knee. I hope Dieon can get over whatever thats in his way an have a good senior year at Tucker and whatever school he decide to pick.

Davis is the real deal. The Roberson kid is just a big body in a good program. If you wanna see a great D-lineman you should check out the Slaughter kid at St Pius. Put a Tucker uniform on that kid and watch the scouts go insane.

Nick Potts is a player to look at this year also, He has really stepped up his game, he is strong and is playing nose guard and DT also. Scouts look out for him. He has a Knee injury but will be back out there soon.
