The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Georgia Tech picked up a football recruit on Thursday when Jordan Luallen chose the Jackets, according to scout.com.
Luallen, a four-star recruit from Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Ind., passed for 756 yards and rushed for 475 yards last season to lead his team to a 9-2 record. He totaled 25 touchdowns.

To Macon Dawg: Luallen completed 60% of his passes for 756 yards and 12 touchdowns with no interceptions. He rushed for 475 yards and 13 touchdowns. He is 6’ 3” and runs a 4.55 40. He also ran the 100 high hurdles and 300 hurdles. He has a 3.5 GPA and remember, he has another year of high school. A perfect fit for Georgia Tech.

Jordan; Congratulations for the hard work you put into getting to this point, both on the playing field and in the classroom. I know your family is proud of your accomplishment, and I also know that means the world to you.
Please do not let any of the negative posts detract you from your goals. I know you have family here in Georgia, and I apologize to them for the rudeness they must endure from many of the so-called fans that belittle another University, it’s players or coaches.
Welcome to the Flats, young man. We are proud to call you one of our own.

No, it is actually the square root of 361 multiplied by the hypotnuse of a right triangle with legs of 112 and 104. Take that number and cube it by the surface area of Joe Hamilton’s jail cell. Add the number of times Reggie Ball beat UGA and divide by number of WR’s that left the GT program over the off season.

Yech gets a star QB recruit who passes for 800 yards and runs for 500 while UGA’s star QB recruit passes for 4000 and runs for 900. I guess that’s how you know the streak will continue.

I would like to thank all of you Tech fans for welcoming me to the south. I already feel at home. For all of the doubters out there you can rest assured that I will have no problem transfering my skills from an all girl High School football team to GT. I have already seen some of the similarities from my high school team to my future team at GT. My center is about the same size as the center that I will be lining up under on the plains! My current centers name is Andrea and we are best friends. I just hope CPJ is as open to carrying tampons in the first aid kit as my current coach is.

I realize that the best policy is to not respond to these fleabags, but the sheer number of posts from Dawgs and their typical pomposity changes the equation. Just for the sake of argument, Dawgbreaths, please list for me the top pro quarterbacks in the last 25 years that have played for the red and black? From the list of schools for which you showed your usual ignorant disdain, I can think of John Elway, Jim Plunkett, and Boomer Esiason off the top of my head. So grab your shovel and get back to work.

All you dawg fans sure spend a lot of time and effort running your mouths about Tech’s football program. Surely you have better things to do like enjoy the success of your own program. No, you’d rather rip on some teenage kid. Wow, real class from the UGA contingent as usual. Get a life.
By Think

Wow…Why hasn’t Purdue and ND offered this kid? Well probably because they run pass first offenses and Jordan runs the wing-T. Just maybe?
Yeah dogs…2 of the top ten? One will play…maybe…just like Jordan…maybe. Even if Stafford leaves after this year, there are plenty of QBs between him and your ‘09 guys.
Y’all are so full of crap. If Tech got the top 2 recruits in every position in the nation y’all would just be saying “oh well we didn’t offer them”.
One would think that if UGA’s recruits were so much better than Tech’s…in reality or in recruit rankings…that UGA should have beaten Tech by more than an average of seven and a half points over the last 4 years…

Tech may not be very good (Paul may help), but aren’t they part of that crushing non conference schedule the pups play? GA Southern, Western Something, Arizona State (this years superbowl favorite) and Tech? Wow, the 67 Packers would be 6-6 with that schedule. See you in September, maybe one of your heisman candidates can score a touchdown this year ha ha ha.

I’m convinced most of the UGA fans don’t actually watch the GT-UGA games. It’s the only way to explain why they think they have actually dominated us.
The past few games have been very, very close, and in the past two years they were literally handed touchdowns (one leading to a victory for UGA) by officials. Last year’s game was very competitive until our o-line fell apart in the last quarter (it happens, we didn’t have the depth we needed). Not to mention we shut down your little golden boy (although could not fully get a handle on Brown, oh well).
There are d-bag fans on either side, but you UGA fans are being absolutely ridiculous. I’m not quite sure how you can actually enjoy football by the way some of you are acting.

all the uga fans might want to ease up on the trash talking a little. i think that might be impossible because uga is the greatest thing to ever happen to college football. at least that’s all the rest of the state of georgia has heard from uga folks since 1980…the last time you won something.
i am not a tech fan. in fact, i despise both tech and uga. but paul johnson is one helluva a football coach. he is one of those rare coaches that can beat your team with his team, and then, if he wanted, he could take your players and beat his team. he’s that smart. mark my words. he will win. give him a little bit of talent to work with and he will win alot. i’d be willing to bet he beats uga twice in the next 5 years. at least.

As big of Dawg fan as I am it is embarrasing, some of the comments you guys have. Say congrats and root for your team. Most of you can’t have graduated from HS let alone UGA. Grow up…

Building a Dynasty?
I think you have a really good coach who will bring needed change. But building a dynasty is a wee bit of a stretch. I love it when Tech is good, because I love it when we beat good tech teams. Good luck, I hope Johnson does turn it around for you guys.

Its always good to see all the negative comments from folks who never had the talent to play this game. Makes one proud to see so many dog out high school players starting out to be college athletes. You high schoolers pay no attention to these fools and follow your dreams to the next level. These clowns will always be here to spread their negativity.

Jordan was next on UGA’s list if they didn’t land Murray, look it up. Also I seriously doubt there is a big difference in the #10 ranked QB and #15 ranked QB. Either one could move up or down after their senior year anyways. Tech got a good one, congrats.

756 yard THIS SEASON numbnuts. Your 4000 yard QB is CAREER. 756 x 4 = 3024…add in the running yards that your QB doesn’t have and voila!
Your stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

I’d say his stats are pretty TOP NOTCH for a kid that plays for a coach who runs a wing-t offense. If you put Jordan up against Mett or Murray with all other factors being equal (i.e. type of offense and other players) I guarantee he looks better than them. He was Scout.com Army All American All Combine QB, Nike Training Camp All Combine QB (Baton Rouge), Scout.com 7 v. 7 All Combine QB, and Scout.com All Combine QB (Cincinnati). Four All Combine QB MVP awards in a row and he’s 6’4” 210 and runs a 4.55 40 yard dash. Mett was at the Army Combine. He WILL lead Tech to a victory over uga before he graduates.

I have to agree with an earlier post. The numbers are not very impressive for his ranking. About 70 miles north fom Atlanta there is a QB who is an honor graduate this year, ran a spread option offense, ran and passed for over 1000 yards each the last 2 years. CPJ had him up for a visit to Navy last year, and had him near the top of his wish list, but I have seen no interest this year.

Once again the UGAy ‘necks have sullied this board with their perpetual jealously of Tech. The UGAy nation collectively displays its inferiority complex, due to its failure to gain acceptance to one of the top academic institutions in the world.

Nice pickup. I love how the dawgs are so high and mighty, I just have one question. When’s the last time that all of yall’s great recruits have won a national championship? For tech it’s all about getting recruits that fit into a system. Ask the detroit tigers what a bunch of good individuals gets you.
