Will it be Auburn, Clemson or Stanford for Lassiter TE?

There will be some extra drama associated with Friday night’s spring game at Lassiter.

Part of the night’s festivities will include tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen picking a college. He’ll choose between Auburn, Clemson and Stanford.

“I’ll either put a hat or t-shirt on,” said Lutzenkirchen, who won’t be able to participate in Friday evening’s contest due to a groin injury. “And one of the coaches from that college will probably be at our game.”

Without tipping his hand, the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder attempted to explain the factors that swayed his decision.

“Once I visited this one school, I fell in love with it,” he said. “I could just see myself there. It’s a really close knit program.”

Lutzenkirchen said he’s trying to maintain secrecy over his decision.

“It’s been kind of hard, but people have been guessing,” he said. “I haven’t really told anyone. Everybody just keeps guessing.

“I’m just glad I’m committing early so I can focus on my school work and football season next year.”

Get onboard people, UGA’s National Championship season begins in August — our 6th (1927,’42, ‘46, ‘68, ‘80) 2008!

Auburn, Clemson, Stanford? One of these dosen’t belong. Is there not a fourth option for this kid? Sad!

Feeling kinda blue when UGA doesn’t want you!

Let’s see.. would you rather have degree from Stanford— or one of the other two? If you have to think about this….you probably couldn’t get in Stanford.

I’d be surprised if it was anyone, but Auburn. Franklin’s offense utilizes TEs heavily, and not just as blockers.

I think the bulldogs are starting to sound like Bammers. Counting their chicks before they hatch.

I see Auburn facing the Dawgs twice this year, and splitting the wins.

Article I just read says he’s ranked as a 4-star. Says, Stanford is out. Looks like Fla State offered also. Clemson and Auburn are final choices.

Some of you guys can’t be happy for him because he is going to get a scholarship to a pretty good school? To be one of the top ranked TE in the country is saying soemthing about him. I would be surprised too if it wasn’t Auburn.

I TELL YOU THIS WRITER IS IN HEAT FOR THIS TIGHT END FROM LASSITER! NOBODY ELSE GETS 1/4 THE ATTENTION FROM THIS GUY AS DOES THIS KID. I STARTED TO WRITE IN YESTERDAY AND POINT OUT THAT THE WRITER HAD NOT DROOLED OVER HIM FOR MORE THAN A WEEK. AND HERE WE GO. PLEASE, GET MARRIED!

I agree with Bryan. Auburn and UGA will play 2 times this year splitting the wins

UGA has 1 NC (maybe 2)…by your logic Ned Burner, Auburn has 8 NC’s so screw you (which I don’t claim, we have 1).

Lutz is the 3rd highest ranked player in GA, a 4 star #7 ranked TE in the country (and doesn’t fit UGA’s offense). He had more offers then the 3 he is choosing from…he narrowed down his choices to the 3 retard.

None of the crazy UGA fans on this blog actually went there (or went when the academics were a joke), and those of you that didn’t go there disgrace a great school by acting like fools. Go back to GA Perimeter and your trailor parks and shut up.

You UGA guys are way out of hand. Ask Mark Richt about his last experience starting out #1. You sound like gambling addicts that are sure they will win millions with their “system”. And then check out the Rivals clip on the kid. Pay attention to the one hand receptions and when he leaps over a defender. He is a sharp kid with a great future. Burner, try bookmarking Wikipedia and using it before posting propaganda.

Real slim pickins for Tight Ends this year. This kid is a good player, but a long way from being blue chip. I saw him play every game last year and I just don’t get it.
