Two new SEC offers for Milton RB

Milton tailback Toney Williams’ recruiting portfolio increased from six to eight with recent offers from Arkansas and Mississippi State.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pound junior already had offers from Georgia Tech, Indiana, N.C. State, Rutgers and Tennessee.

“Right now, I’d say my two favorites are Tennessee and Kentucky,” Williams said late Wednesday. “And I’d have to say that Georgia Tech is my third choice right now.”

On the Vols: “Really, I just like everything about the program,” he said. “I really like the coaches and the facilities.”

On the Wildcats: “It’s pretty much the same as Tennessee,” he said. “And I really like [assistant] coach **[Joker] Phillips.”

Another SEC team sits atop Williams’ wish list.

“I’d love to get an offer from Auburn,” he said. “I have two brothers who are students there.”

Williams’ most immediate goal is prepping for spring practice at Milton, which begins on Monday.

“During spring practice, I just want to personally become a better player and take that next step,” he said.
