Buford lineman commits to Georgia
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Georgia’s 2009 recruiting class added a new commitment Saturday night when Buford junior defensive tackle Dallas Lee chose the Bulldogs over Tennessee.
“I committed to Georgia,” Lee told Scout.com Saturday evening. “Georgia was the best fit for me. It was what I was looking for in a college.”
Lee will likely play on offense for the Dogs.
“Georgia likes me a center or guard on the offensive line,” he said. “I’ve been talking with [offensive line] coach [Stacy] Searels for some time, and I really like him.
“I’m leaning towards offense, but that doesn’t really matter as much to me.”

Omar would have come if not for us not having enough scholarships at the end. We just ran out and had no more to offer. But good get for the dawgs in Lee.

Dallas Lee OG Buford 6’4 290
ESPN Top 150 player was considering Ten, Vandy, GT
ESPN.com Eval:
Is tough and physical
Looks to punish opponents and will give maximum effort
He has solid “get off,” but displays good power
Does a very good job of shooting his hands out of his stance
Able to generate power from his lower body and displays good upper body strength
Is physical @ point of attack and can hold his ground
Excells versus double teams
Is tough on Defense, but his best fit may be OG
Has good size and displays good strength
Ain’t flashy, but should be a productive college player.
you’re wlecome!

It’s better to occasionally lose out on an awesome player, than it is to be soul-less and OVER SIGN, THEN DISMISS! CMR HAS INTEGRITY.
Some young fellas haven’t yet discovered the meaning of that word (DA)! If he did not intend to attend UGA, then why wait till the last minute and switch schools? I DON’T UNDERSTAND!!!
Was it an intentional ploy to lessen a better program, or just plain old High School type of undecicedness?
If it was the latter, then DA should have been honest with UGA. How did we get here?
Lee Rocks and UGA is lucky to have his services, assuming he doesn’t pull a DA!!!

i could care less about UGA.
Just noting on my continued amazement at the prowess of BHS football.
Amazing what has happened since I graduated from there in ‘95.
Little factory they’ve built there.
Some of the best teams a city school could buy in the bible belt!

I don’t normally attack people, but all of you f*** can jump up my a*. I absolutely hate pussies like you. You guys are not even men. I’m going to send you some “summers eve” you small little vermin. Sitting there behind your little keyboard trashing one of the best running backs in college football.
Buzz, you really p** me off. Why would you be so stupid. When your jackets beat the dawgs, then you can talk. Until then, I think you need to just shut the f*** up you f*** d!ck head!!

To Yea…there are alot of top players down here in Fla. CMR said he was doing his best to go after the Ga players in most cases. Fla St in on a roll with the class of ‘09.(see scout.com). I hope we will sign a few top kids this year because the state is loaded once again.

Welcome to the dawg family Dallas. Glad to have you aboard.
If rumors hold true, we should have another fine commitment next week. Aaron Murray, one of the best QBs in the country, is rumored to be a silent commit to UGA. He is set to announce on Thursday at 11am. This would be a huge pickup. Plus, the TE on his team has an offer from us as well and has already expressed interest in the dawgs.
We’re meeting our team’s needs and this class is rounding out nicely. It’s a good time to be a dawg.

OK, Jeff Hood. If you want some intelligent blogs here you are going to have to ask the third grader with a foul mouth (ZM above) to get off and let some mature folk blog. What he put down is completely childish and unnecessary and I hope he tells us where his pre-school is so we can have him kicked out.

To Paddy… thanks for your insight.
Anyone…Do you expect Carlton Thomas to play as a FR? I’ve read that he could be a difference maker on ST and 3 Downs, but everybody knows we’re LAODAED at RB and AA is great on ST.
When is the MLB draft and will UGA lose X Avery to pro baseball?

Good to see a solid O-line pickup early. Balanced classes from here on out.
I would love to see a little article about our O-line next year. I have not heard much about Chris Little, Tanner Strickland, Josh Davis recently, who I believe was playing backup center last year. I know these are all solid guys with great skills and potential to light it up.
Glad to see Br. Kalvin Daniels as the most improved back. Great to have a great walk-on to back up Caleb, someone who’s been on the team for a year and knows what’s up with the schemes. Does anybody know much about Kalvin’s progression, speed, and skills? That would also be an interesting story.

I love to see the LINES getting filled out with depth. The O-line has been our only consistent issue since CMR arrived. I think Searels may have been one of the best moves CMR has made since he arrived.
Welcome Dallas. Enjoy and play it smart. Oh, if you decide to get the Pollack work ethic, you’ll make millions and be an UGA foorball immortal forever remembered. I’m rooting for ya.

Yea,
On the ESPN 150 radar we have possibles in Donterris Huggins:CB,5’10,175lb Orson Charles:TE,6’3,230lb and obviously from the same school as Orson we have QB Aaron Murray at 6’1, 198lbs. Just a few to be watching.

Is Zeb demonstrating through his obscene language the same kind of dog integrity mentioned earlier on this site and attributed to CMR? Or is Zeb just an exception to the rule for dog fans? I have sat in courtrooms and seen people get jail time for public obscenity that was not as bad as Zeb.

to all the dawg fans out there upset at the tech geeks taking shots at Herschel, dont worry about it. Its all they have. Think about not beating your hated rival for 7 years in a row. Then think about not beating them 24 out 31 years. OUCH. Its just jealousy and make me feel better about being a bulldawg. IT EATS THEM UP INSIDE ALL YEAR AND I LOVE IT!!!!

Tampa Dawg…Thanks for the info. I hope “Larry” is right and Murray does commit to UGA. I believe that L Gray could be solid, if Stafford goes pro after next season. But from what I’ve read, Murray will be INCREDIBLE. I appreciate your input and will be interested in where those players sign. From Pensicola on down to South FLA, there ALWAYS seems to be TONS OF BIG TIME TALENT!
There’s nothing better than landing the best from your own state, but it is pretty sweet when UGA can get AWESOME athletes from the state of Fla, as well.
