Georgia headlines the scholarship offers currently held by Norcross safety/receiver Prince Kent.
Earlier this week, teammate D.J. Adams was able to add Notre Dame to an already impressive recruiting portfolio.
“You name it, and they’ve probably already offered Prince,” Norcross coach Keith Maloof said. “He’s got offers from schools like Georgia, Florida, Miami, Clemson and LSU.
“[Notre Dame assistant] coach [Jon] Tenuta called on Tuesday and offered D.J. He also just got an offer from Arkansas. But when a school like Notre Dame gets involved, a lot of other schools get involved.”
Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Miami, LSU and South Carolina are among the schools that have already offered the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Kent.
Maloof said his recruiting policy is to lay the groundwork for his players and encourage them and their family to pick the right school.
“He’s got to weigh all of his options and do what’s best for him,” Maloof said. “Prince is interested in Georgia, but he’s got some Florida ties. I think as long as Georgia wants him he’s interested
Adams, a running back who rushed for 1,462 yards as a junior, has offers from programs such as Boston College, Clemson, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, N.C. State, Rutgers and Wake Forest.
Noticeably absent from Adams’ list of offers is Georgia and Tech.
“Tech and Georgia, I just don’t know,” Maloof said. “I think Georgia probably has all the backs they want.”
