Lassiter TE visits Auburn twice in span of five days

Lassiter tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen attended Auburn’s spring game on Saturday. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound junior was so impressed he decided to take another tour of Auburn’s campus today.

“I was just down here on Saturday,” Lutzenkirchen said by phone Wednesday evening. “I decided to come back.”

Highlights of the visits included spending about 15 minutes chatting with Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville.

“I love this place,” Lutzenkirchen said. “The atmosphere is great. I really like the campus and everything about the football tradition and they have good academics.

“I really like it down here.”

Lutzenkirchen was impressed with the fan support he witnessed at Auburn’s spring game last weekend.

“I’d say there were about 40,000 people there,” he said. “Even on the short plays, the crowd was going wild. They’ve got a good fan base.”

Lutzenkirchen, who holds scholarship offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Stanford and Troy, is leaning toward the Tigers and Jackets.

“But I really haven’t made any decision yet,” he said. “I really like Georgia Tech too.”

Lutzenkirchen is scheduled to visit Virginia Tech on Friday before attending Clemson’s spring game the following day.

Hey KJ-check the all-time series record with UGA and Auburn. You’ve beaten us twice now badly in a row-well, too bad for you, because Brandon Cox AND Will Muschamp are both gone, so expect to lose in Auburn this year. Prepare to cry as your “dream season” comes crashing down in flames…yep, Knowshon is not the second coming of Jesus and Herschel possessing Barak Obama’s charisma, and UGA ain’t winning the NC next year, mark it down…

If we ever suck, it’s not for long-better check your history books, moron…

No one in their right mind would ever want to attend Auburn (Alabama Polytech). Really! If a kid from Atlanta does head west, it is because they were denied admittance to UGA.

UGA is the one of the best public universities in the nation — excellence since 1785. Dooley (an AU convert) built a dynasty that Richt will only add to — a 5th National Championship for the DAWGS is coming this year. You haters can’t stand it - you are jealous! Living in the past, while UGA looks to the present & future! HATE ON THAT Beeatches!

Nancy Boy, stop being an unrealistic dolt. There honestly isn’t that much difference between Auburn and UGA. Put down your bong.

Great news Lutzee! Hopefully the Dawgs will offer you as well! If not, I guess we can at least pull for the TE spot in Auburn…

I’m UGA all the way but if I had to pick a second “favorite” SEC school it would have to be Auburn. And I certainly don’t mind if they continue to defeat Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama!!

FIFTH National Championship? WTH? You have ONE AP title…you must have gotten your undergraduate in Math at Bammer…nice…oh, and a minor in English there too-anyone using the slang “beyotches” or whatever is a stupid idiot incapable of any original thought…

GT is for Nancy boys is right. If Richt wants em he gets em, the rest are crumbs left for the community colleges we dominate auburn, gayturds, yech, vowels, vandy. And our school is more highly regarded academically!

First of all, why does a conversation on schools being better and stuff always start on a story about a high school junior that hasn’t made a college decision yet?

Not everyone from Atlanta who doesn’t get into UGA goes to Auburn (although I will honestly say a lot do). I got into UGA and Emory and came to Auburn for various reasons (a full scholarship). You can’t say a school is more highly regarded academically and be saying anything. So what that UGA is overall a little higher ranked than Auburn…all that matters coming out of college is the ranking of the school within the school. Meaning like how good the pharmacy, design, or business school is. How good a school is “overall” has no value in the business world.

UGA, Auburn, and Tech are all good schools. Most of UGA’s fan base is either people that never sat foot in a class there or old UGA graduates that went there when it was a complete joke academically. They’re also the ones that talk the most trash. What losers…

Georgia will have some scholarships available when half of Richt’s recruits don’t pass the HS graduation test or get arrested. Richt is 4-3 against Auburn, not quite total domination.

By common sense

Auburn does lead the all-time series with Georgia and Georgia has not won a decade series against Auburn since the 1950’s. The Tigers have a great football tradition and that includes regularly beating Georgia. Georgia fans are so arrogant (about what I don’t know) and repulsive, Their dream season will fall in ashes next year beacuse their schedule is too tough to dominate. Count on a loss to Auburn along the way too.

hey 78 dawg….please don’t talk academics….your school is a joke…..cheer for your little ole football team but please don’t think Ugay is anything close to a good school…..GT is the 7th ranked public university in the nation( US News)… last i checked, Ugay was not in the top 30….

haha GT’s academics are wayyy ahead of UGA’s.

People who say otherwise are just ignorant. Improving upon your crappier standards doesn’t make you better than Tech.
