Will Georgia offer Lassiter’s Lutzenkirchen?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Auburn, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Stanford and Troy have each extended scholarship offers to Lassiter junior tight end/linebacker Philip Lutzenkirchen
“As for a front-runner, I really like Auburn and Georgia Tech,” the 6-foot-4, 230-pound Lutzenkirchen said.
He’s anxious to see if Clemson and Georgia will offer.
“I was up there in Athens this past Friday and went to Clemson on Saturday,” he said. “I really enjoyed Clemson. I’m hoping they’ll offer. That’s one of my top schools.
“As for Georgia, I know they didn’t get the tight end they wanted in the class of 2008. I think they’ll offer a tight end, but I don’t know if it will be me. I’m getting a pretty good vibe, but don’t really know if they’ll offer because of their lack of scholarships.”
Lutzenkirchen, who plans to attend upcoming junior days at Auburn and Vanderbilt, is debating whether to travel to Miami in April.
“I know Miami has wanted me to come down there,” he said. “I might go down there during my spring break, but I’m just not sure.”
Lutzenkirchen is being recruited by Tech as an athlete.
“[Tech assistant] coach [Brian] Bohannon is a good guy,” he said. “He and I have a very good relationship.
“And coach [Paul] Johnson is an all-around good guy. He’s easy to talk to. He’s not stubborn or arrogant like you’d think some coaches would be. I went down their last Thursday [for the Tech-Clemson basketball game] and we talked about 25 minutes.”

If you get an offer to UGA you better take it. Otherwise, if you’re shopping go somewhere else because the we don’t want a kid that does.nt want us!

To translate what Dukey Dangles said (I know it is tough for many GT alum to interpret English), GT sucks and if PL gets an offer from UGA, we hope he commits.

Actually let me translate for you keywest. UGAG sucks at academics and they are not the only Football team in the nation believe or not. Get over your superiority complex. Tough for GT alum to interpret English? I think not. If PL is smart which I think he is, he will go to GT. Woof this.

I doubt we want this kid for real anyway. GT you can have our leftovers and stop being so sensitive because your football team is garabage.

As an alum of both Tech and UGA, I can honestly tell you the academics at both schools are just about equal. Don’t tell me Tech is better, they are both fantastic. As far as football, Tech will not utilize a TE as UGA would, so if it comes down to PT, I think he chooses Georgia or Troy.

The UGA fanbase is even more arrogant than usual. I can’t wait until they get beaten down in Columbia.
It’s the same story every year: - Supposedly top 10 recruiting class - Ranked in pre-season top 15 - Loaded at running back - Loaded on D - Can’t find a WR that can figure out how to catch a ball - Richt can’t quite figure out how to outcoach an opponent so he loses a game or two that he shouldn’t - End up whining like puppies
I think any recruit should look at the facts above before even considering a program that is predicated on a false superiority complex.

So, BigG -
You forgot to point out the top-five finish and the great bowl game the Chickens enjoyed in ‘07.

NRBQ, Agreed - we didn’t finish the season as we started it.
The point that you’re missing is that a supposed “elite” team like UGA should NOT lose to a “poor” team like SCAR.
Take a look at the game in Athens last year, UGA should have been beaten even worse than they did. No debate there, it’s all on film.
Ya’ll better recognize the game in Columbia…we have 10 starters from a young D coming back.

Hey BigGCock,
What exactly has your team won in the past 100 years? Not much and you think 1 win over us is going to change the fact that we own your pathetic a*******es? Who was 6-6 and went to no bowl? Oh, that would be your sorry team! Loser!

Anybody that gets an offer from CMR better take it, or your just dumb. You have an obligation to take it if the DAWGS offer, if you don’t your a criminal or molestor or you just can’t cut it, your jealous, your obsessed with the DAWGS, you should be in jail.

South Carolina has never fairly beat the DAWGS, a lucky dropped pass and bad officiating don’t count as a win. SC should be in the acc with the other 2 rate teams. Spurrier has always paid recruits. Any recruit considering Yech or sc is not good enough to be a DAWG. Show me one program that has done what UGA has the last 15, 25 or 50 years.

Using UGA and acaddmics in the same sentence is a complete joke. UGA’s academics are in the bottom of the SEC one of the worst academic conferences in the nation.
PS- I love spooning with Matt Stafford

puppylove, All I’m trying to say is that when we last faced off on the field, SCAR beat those Dogs down.
Any questions? If so, call Mark Richt.

its quite difficult to get over a superiority “complex” when objective reality leads you to no other conclusion-an engineer like yourself ought to appreciate these facts

Why would PL care if he got an offer from UGA. He already has offers from 3 superior schools anyway.

Comparing the South Carolina football program to the UGA football program is like comparing a tricycle to a Hummer.
The Cocks have a young D huh? UGA started 3 freshman o-linemen in that game last year (2nd of the season).
We finished #2 and won the Sugar Bowl. Carolina fans can only DREAM of a season like that. Keep dreaming, it will never happen.

If you Gamecocks want a coach that will occasionaly beat one of the SEC elite teams like UGA,TENN or FLA then Spurrier is your man. If you want a coach that will “perform” on the sidelines in front of the cameras, then Spurrier is your man. But he will NEVER win an SEC championship at USC.

Hey UGALY fans and Alumni,
Every year it’s the same crap. All we hear is ” This is the year” you have been saying that for decades. Your last NC was in 1980, or 81? Ours was in 1990. So quit whining and bragging about your overated crappy football team. This year you lose more games. You suck and always will.

Show me one program that has done what UGA has the last 15, 25 or 50 years.
Umm… Southern Cal? (3NCs since 2000, several more in the 70) Oklahoma?( 1NC, played in one more) Texas?(1NC and the winningnest team since Mac Brown took over) Florida? (2 NCs, perenially slapping the SEC East around) FSU? (NC, how many straight years finishing in the top 5) Michigan? Ohio State? (who has done more than these two over the past half century?) Miami, FL?
Shall we continue? I mean really. UGA has a nice NC in the 81 and some SEC Champs but not much else of note.

To get away from the p** match and back to Lutz, I actually heard that he is looking from an offer from Florida to play QB. While not as strong as Tebow, PL thinks he can be that type of player for Coach Meyer. He did play QB all through middle school and still has a pretty good arm, though the coaches felt his future was at TE. Also, supposedly, one of his childhood friends is going there and is recruiting him hard for the Gators. TIFWIW.
