This kid is a true burner. Even since his freshman year he’s been a homerun hitter every time he touches the ball, I’m sure a few Cartersville opponents remember the hook and ladder to Morgan.

Cartersville has always produce great runing backs … Robert Lavette, Keith Henderson, John McClain, Ronnie Brown, and others. The scary thing about next year’s team is that if they had another QB developed; they could pair Alexander with Donavan Tate in the backfield. How awesome would that be? That would probably be one of the most feared tandems in AAA in 2008-2009.

Yes, how can you forget V.O., “Rooster”, and Hal Hatfield. Nice team as they went 10-0 in the regular season. They dropped 63 on cross-town rival, Cass. The football program is big in C’ville, and this year they will bounce back from this past year 4-5-1 record. I recall the ‘82 team came back from a 6-5 record in ‘81 and produced an 10-1-1 record. That was the beginning of the Keith Henderson era. That was a great team, who just ran into West Rome (David McCluskey) too early in the playoffs. And then obviously, we have 2 state championships!
