Wilson explains switch to Tech

Columbia defensive end Antonio Wilson changed his mind from his earlier commitment with Vanderbilt, and announced he’s going to attend Georgia Tech.

Why?

One, he wants to major in chemical engineering. “And plus, they have a better football team,” Wilson said of Tech.

The signing ended a remarkably quick development for Wilson, a basketball-player-turner-defensive end who played his first season of football this fall.

Columbia coach Kevin Latham said it was hard work, especially in the weight room that made the difference for Wilson, who joined the football team last summer.

“None of us could have predicted Antonio would be going to Tech, or Vanderbilt, for that matter.” Latham said. “His dedication to the weight room was unbelievable.”

That’s true, Georgia Tech is probably better than VANDERBILT.

The rest of the SEC? Ummmm, not so much.

We look forward at Georgia to kicking your butt your 4 years in college. Enjoy all the nerds and fat chicks.

Congrats to Antonio and the new staff. I think this will be a very solid class a few years from now. Antonio sounds like an intriguing athlete that could be a real diamond in the rough in a couple of years.

Thanks for the article Scott! And welcome to the flats Antonio Wilson!!! You’ll have to work hard to play football and major in Chemical Engineering, but a quality individual like yourself can do it! Start school early this summer and get a leg up on your studies. Kick butt in the fall!

He’s wrong. Vandy beat the Dawgs in 2006, and Tech hasn’t beat them in forever. Classless Dawgs wre so excited this past season that they felt the need to stomp on the Vandy logo.

GA fans comment here, because no recruit ever says they’re going to uga because of the academics or the schools reputation, they can’t tell the truth, which is I don’t plan on graduating I don’t plan on going to class, I want to act like a fool during games and I don’t want to be suspended just for getting arrested.

You gnats are pethetic. UGA has better looking athletes and more talent on the football team. There is not a single Yech player I would want on a poster hanging over my bed for me to stare at before sleeping. Only DAWGS on my walls. Those rippling muscles and oily flesh are things that Yech fans will never get to dream of.

Junkyard—the only poster you have over your bed is your sister or your cousin. Your sister, I know somewhat well, and she’s hot for a “b***”.
