ESPN Zone general manager Kip Lowery grew up in Athens and is a third-generation Georgia Bulldog. He knows how important national signing day is.
“It’s my favorite day of the year to work,” Lowery said. “You get to see the expression of the kids who sign and see boys become men.”
It’s also a big day for the Buckhead-based ESPN Zone, which for six years has hosted its “Signing Day Spectacular,” with hundreds of local high schoolers signing their national letters of intent.
Neraly 100 are expected to sign today at ESPN Zone, including:
— Linebacker Christian Robinson (GAC), Georgia
— Wide receiver Garrett Embry (Roswell), Oregon
— Running back Kenny Miles (Brookwood), South Carolina
— Athlete Cooper Taylor (Marist), Georgia Tech
— Defensive lineman Bernard Smith (Mays), West Virginia
