S.C. St. over Arkansas? Douglass QB says yes

Douglass quarterback Ronald Holiday chose to play at South Carolina State rather than taking an offer from Arkansas.

The 6-4, 220-pounder would have gone to junior college for a year had he decided to sign with the Razorbacks.

“I liked my visit to South Carolina State,” said Holiday, who was a two-year starter. “I have a chance to play now.”

I have been to Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have seen the internet civil war that went on with the pro-Nutt and anti-Nutt factions, I saw the black shirts, the air plane flying the banner over the stadium. Who would want to play there. It is a dissfunctional fan base that resides in the SEC’s version of West Virginia. I congratulate this young man for making a wise decision and not going to “R”Kansas.

Congratulations to Ronald, wish we could have gotten him, but a wise decision with the number of QB’s at Arkansas. I am sure he will get plenty of playing time at SCS and develop nicely. They got the steal we were hoping to get! Congratulations!

Hey man I’m also a kid that left Georgia, and went to SC State and played football and got a degree. This is the best decision you could have made. Hail, Hail, dear alma mater.

Arkansas could not care less about this guy. Check the QB’s they DID sign.

Congrats Ronald. Make the best of it at S.C. State, maybe even transfer up.
