N. Cobb’s Ezenwa sticks with Purdue

North Cobb’s Nnamdi Ezenwa got a last-minute offer from Kentucky to join teammate Matt Roark on Tuesday night, but the linebacker stuck with his commitment and signed with Purdue this morning.

Another North Cobb player, defensive end Jarvis West, did make a switch, signing with Hampton instead of Valdosta State. Nine players off North Cobb’s Region 5-AAAAA championship team signed.

The others were quarterback Roark with Kentucky, cornerback Oliver Davis with Georgia Southern, linebacker Alonzo Jones with Howard, tackle Matt Britain with Ohio, running back Calvin Middleton with Jacksonville State, receiver Donte Sawyer with Morehead State and linebacker Brian Presume with Dean Junior College.

Presume is perhaps the most underrated, as he led North Cobb with 155 tackles. South Florida helped place him at the Massachussets junior college.
