McClain chooses Clemson
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

It’s not often that Clemson goes into Alabama and takes one of the prized recruits, but the Tigers did it Wednesday by signing offensive tackle Antonie McClain (6-6, 315) of Anniston.
Clemson had been in the lead for McClain since mid-January. He was recruited by wide receivers coach Dabo Swinney, who has strong Alabama connections.
McClain is ranked as the No. 7 player in Alabmaa by rivals.com and the No. 4 player in Alabama by SuperPrep. He had 50 pancake blocks during his senior season.
McClain had considered a number of schools including Alabama, auburn, Florida, and Georgia.

What this doesn’t say is McClain has a serious attitude problem, and isn’t exactly your prototypical STUDENT-athlete…He would have had to go to JUCO in order to get into Auburn and Tennessee, but Clemson, well lets just see what CTB can do about that, and now we see. This is why Clemson never quite makes it over the hump. They look at physical ability, but not at what lies inside. Good luck with this one.

LOL at AFnPC. If Clemson will let this guy come in, you know he would have zero issues getting into Tennessee or Auburn. Just ask Dwight Jones. You’re either bitter and just making stuff up, or you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. Check out Clemson’s grad rate. It far surpasses UT, and there aren’t any sociology classes where you don’t have to go and pass like Auburn.
