LSU signs Shaw

Miami didn’t convince all of the great players to stay at home as LSU signed offensive tackle Greg Shaw of Pace High School in Hialeah.

Shaw (6-5, 267) visited West Virginia last weekend and had narrowed his choices down to the Mountaineers and LSU, according to Rivals.com.

He was a four-star recruit according to Rivals and rated the nation’s No. 16 offensive lineman by ESPN.com.

Shaw was an All-State player in 2006 and 2007 made visits to Florida, LSU, Georgia Tech, South Florida, and West Virginia.

Over the past two seasons Shaw had 144 pancake blocks.
