Like father, like son: Hall to Army

Mt. Pisgah quarterback Taylor Hall became the school’s first major-college football recruit by following in family tradition.

Hall signed with Army on Wednesday. His father, Leamon Hall, was a Heisman Trophy candidate as Army’s quarterback from 1974-77. Hall’s grandfather is Homer Smith, the former Army coach.

“Taylor told me when I arrived last spring that his goal was to play at West Point,” Mt. Pisgah first-year coach Doug Dixon said. “He has a goal to one day fly jets.”
