Ros first to sign with Bulldogs

Bryce Ros is officially the first member of Georgia’s class of 2008.

The Kennesaw Mountain tight end sent in his letter of intent to Georgia at 7:35 a.m. today.

Ros is one of the interesting players in this class because it is not certain exactly where he will play. Ros, who is the strongest player in the class, could wind up at defensive end. He played both in high school.

Ros also should be familiar with the ins and outs of Georgia. His father, Frank, was captain of the national title team under Vince Dooley.

Bryce is most likely a redshirt candidate.

“My dad has been real instrumental in me achieving my goals,” Ros said. “I couldn’t have done it without him or my mom. My dad still works out with me every night.”

Ros’ middle name came from one of his dad’s former teammates, Scott Woerner, who is a schoolteacher.

“We call him Uncle Scott,” Ros said. “He’s like an uncle to me. I see him a good bit every year, sometimes in Athens. He’s watched me play at Kennesaw Mountain.”

I saw Kennesaw Mt. each of the last two years and I don’t remember this kid making an impact. I remember the band being huge and pretty good. Hope he is a player.
