Florida State gets Fortson

Florida State has beat out Auburn for wide receiver Jarmon Fortson of Columbus (Carver High). A member of the AJC’s Super Southern 100 Fortson (6-3, 220) was listed as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and Scout.com.

Fortson is a big, physical receiver who gave a verbal commitment to Auburn last fall because one of his teammates had also committed to the Tigers. But Fortson signed with the Seminoles on Wednesday.

I am surprised that Auburn has not lost more recruits than they have. Tooterville would have 2nd thoughts before he fired his off. cord. had he known he would lose def. cord. Muschamp. Now he has to break in 2 new cord. plus a new QB. Looks like a 7 or 8 win season coming.

What has happened for Auburn to lose its best recruits? Coach tubbs better get off his bottom and start recruiting better or coach saban is going to run him out of Auburn.

No need to worry about Auburn Football. It will continue to be the class act it has always been. Bama may become competition again but bet on the Tigers to pull out on top of the West and beat up on some SEC East contender in December.

Dream on WDE 73. Auburn is the “probation leader” in the SEC. Also Tooterville has played in only ONE BCS game since he has been there. They even lost to MSU last year for heavens sake. I would not use the word “Class” in the same sentence with Auburn.
