Brookwood QB set to sign with Wake

The shock and horror of the death of Daniel Peek rocked the Broncos last spring. The rising senior was the team’s fiery field leader at quarterback, but more important, their friend.

When they got pass the tears, the team needed a replacement. Coach Mark Crews called on star receiver Terence Davis, who had already committed to signing with Wake Forest, which he did today.

“Wasn’t a hard decision,” Davis said. “My team needed me and I had to be there. That’s the only way I looked at it.”

While not the passer Peek was, Davis still provided was a stabilizing force at the position, leading Brookwood to its third straight region championship.

“You can’t say enough about a kid who was a star at one position and gave it up for the good of the team,” Crews said. “He was just outstanding.”
