Brice Butler has a plan for his time at Southern Cal.
The star wide receiver from Norcross, who signed today with the Trojans, hopes to follow his father’s footsteps to the NFL. Bobby Butler is a former defensive back with the Atlanta Falcons.
“Three good season and then to the NFL Draft,” Butler said during the Signing Day Spectacular held Wednesday at ESPN Zone in Buckhead.
Does that mean he’ll leave early/ Well, maybe.
USC coaches indicated he will get a serious chance to play as a freshman for Pete Carroll — “if I do what I’m supposed to do to be ready,” Butler said.
Butler, 6-3, 189, said he fell in love with the weather, coaching staff and campus in Los Angeles, and says he didn’t feel any pressure to follow Dad’s lead and go to Florida State.
“No pressure from my father, but maybe a little from my mother [Cyrillyn, also an FSU grad],” Butler said.
