Can’t say I didn’t see this coming. CJ will be kicking himself in the future when Saban bolts and he sees that CPJ has installed the spread option on The Flats. CJ, you are making a mistake.

So Tech loses their highly rated QB and WR after PJ signs on but they steal a QB from Middle Tennessee? And Tech got rid of Gailey for what?

Congrats Jackson! You made a wise choice. As a Bama fan living in Atlanta, you will enjoy your time there. The campus, academics, athletics, GIRLS, ETC.

I heard it’s because Saban promised him that after next year he was going to hire Bobby Petrino and really open up the offense.

If this means that you were coming to Tech because of Gailey’s offensive genius, then GT won’t miss you much.

Great move Tech! You had Gailey, who takes you to the ACC Championship one year and then you fire him the next. Then you are losing recruits too. Don’t forget I told you…but UGA will keep kickin your BUTT for years to come. You Tech fans are going to get what you deserve a good ole fashion A*-kickin! Enjoy!

You nerd geeks need to decide how you want things to be. A couple of days ago you all castigated everyone who didn’t have anything wonderful to say about the QB recruit that you all lured away from MTSU and today you all are kicking the kid from Henry County who decided Alabama was a better fit for him. Can’t have it both ways, either quit whining like a bunch of fat babies or expect some more criticism of your mediocrity laden football program and your cry baby fans, all 200 of them.

Sorry to see Chris Jackson make such a mistake. He could have been a part of something great. Now he will get to hear about the greatness of the past. Having lived in Birmingham for five years the rude, obnoxious Bama fans made me sick. They all remember the glory days of the bear and live in the past. Saban can’t return the past. Auburn became my number 2, behind Tech. Sick’em Tigers.

Chances of Georgia Tech being “something great” in the next five years? Zero. Chances of Alabama being “something great” in the next five years? Slight. The guy is a wide receiver who was about to sign on with a coach with a triple option reputation. If I were a four-star running back and I’d heard that Tech were bringing in June Jones from Hawaii, I’d get the heck out of there. Same thing here.

Guys- I just got finished waxing my bug collector (stainless steel) and was just thinking. I really think we might win in all next year. I know, it’s a little far fetched but with CPJ at the helm and recruits switching from MTSU to Tech things are really looking up. Next year, we will definitely have more than 30,000 screaming Tech fans and the university won’t even have to offer the 4 tickets and 4 hot dogs for $9.99 deal! Man, I can’t wait to get my new slurpy machine for Christmas! Tech has been so good to me by letting me come to the US on a student visa and when Mohammad, Osama and I graduate next year we looking forward to making big things happen!

Go Tech!!

How could he be making a mistake? He’s not signing with Tech.

Eventhough Jackson sounds like a good player, how can anyone be satisfied with an offense that ranked below #80 Nationally the last several years and had no real passing game? It was a surprise some of these passing skill players were coming to Tech anyway. They tried to have a passing game and many of these players are/were talented but it did’nt pan out. For a recruit not to be able to visualize what could be under this new offense and not have any imagination or sense of history at Tech then it’s best they probably don’t come anyway. It use to be one went to a school for the school and what they were to study. But in the SEC it’s all about the program on the field and last I looked Bama got beat by FSU and Auburn. Yes Saban had a good run at LSU. I keep coming back to not beating Ga. in 6 years which no other coach had done. Our offense can’t help but get better and therefore the passing game will be much more effective. With the exception of last year our recruiting has’nt been that great or up to previous standards in terms of talent overall. Good luck to Jackson but for Tech there is a Jimmy Robison out there somewhere if we need to find him.

Did someone really say that Tech has swiped a recruit from Middle Tennessee? Didn’t realize yall actually competed with MTSU for players. No wonder…

Jackson made the decision that was best for him. He apparently liked what he heard from Alabama more so than Tech and decided BAMA was a better fit. Can’t fault him for that. Tech has a good coach and once she shows he is not going to be running the triple option at Tech (which he will not), Tech will start getting some of these players. Good luck in your bowl and with recruiting.

Hey RollTideRoll…I’m not sure what your talking about. If you compare GT and UA, it’s not even close. BAMA isn’t even in GT league. If you compare their records from 1997-2007 you will see that GT has a 86-51 record compared to BAMA’S 72-62 record. Not to mention, GT hasn’t had a losing season that entire stretch…while BAMA has 4. No contest…he clearly chose the wrong football school.

Nice stats SportsFan, but what about 2008-2018, care to place a wager on wins for that time period. Didn’t think so. Roll Tide!

Hey Sports Fan, do you know what Bama and The Jawja Skool of Teknowledgy have in common for the last several years? Probation! Also, you are right about the Institute and Bama not being in the same league; Bama plays in the SEC and Tek plays in the ACC which is equivalent to a good AAA region in GHSA.

You know what…with the stabililty GT got with PJ and the constant rollercoaster of a coach in NS, I would easily take GT.

I was hoping he was coming to UGA. We’re trying to get our receivers on board with spooning each other. It builds the team spirit. If you can sleep with each other, than you can cross the middle for each other.

I guess he doesn’t like to spoon, such a narrow minded fellow. What a shame.

Chris Jackson made a good move to go the crimson tide. Tech is a great school, but if you want to play football in the the best college football conference the SEC, he made the right move. Georgia or Bama would have been a great school for Chris to pick. Glad he picked the CRIMSON TIDE OF ALABAMA. ROLL TIDE AND MERRY X-MAS

SportsFan, what do you mean stability with PJ? Until the guy coaches at Tech for a while you can’t have any idea. There may be mass turnovers in the coaching staff every year, transfers out the wazoo, and Taz Anderson and some of the other coaching wannabes might try to run Johnson off if he won’t kow-tow to their idea of how the football program at Tech should be run. Look what they did to Gailey.

I ran into him when he was in T-Town and it was plain and simple. He said his class WILL win another (13th) National Championship for Alabama. Look at what Saban is doing to the entire College Football world in recruiting right now. It is a no brainer.

Anybody playing (shortly) for Nick Satan doesn’t have enough upstairs to be a jacket. Losers please stick together and wonder out loud a two years from now as to where Mr. Nick has gone. All slime and his class has nothing on ND, Miami or USC this year.

How many D-1 verbal commitments does Buford have at this time? Will Tyler King be attending A D-1 school? If so, I am very impressed with his running and blocking ability.

JohninJax has got a point,Gailey wins the ACC and the next he’s gone, if the Tech people havn’t figured out this very difficult mathematical problem but everyone can’t win every year. Only one is left at the end of the year and you guys did win the whole thing back a few years ago. The best a team can possibly hope to do is be very competetive every time out and you win your share, every one can’t be great. I admit I don’y like losing all the time but Gailey didn’t lose all the time nor did he throw games away like Jim Donan did at UGA
