Biggest second-round surprises: Kyle Thompson and Kenneth Ferrie followed Thursday's 76s with 68s. It allowed each to sneak past the cut line.

Biggest disappointment: Jonathan Kaye shared the first-round lead but shot a 6-over 78 and barely made the cut.

The cut: Those who couldn't meet the 144 bar include Billy Andrade (145), Greg Norman (151), Nicholas Thompson (153) and David Duval (155).

What to look for today: The greens have drawn rave reviews from the players all week. Those who putt well today should place themselves in a position to contend.

Weather: It's expected to be a sunny day, with a high of 77 degrees. There's a 10 percent chance of rain.
