After eight long seasons, the wait is finally over for the Hawks, who snapped the NBA's longest playoff drought without lifting a finger Monday. Washington's 117-110 win over Indiana clinched the final playoff berth for the Hawks. "It's huge for our franchise," said Hawks coach Mike Woodson, whose team was 12 games under .500 a month ago. For key moments in the run to the postseason, go to D6.

Playoff preview: A first-round matchup with Boston won't bode well based on Saturday's 99-89 loss to the Celtics. The Celtics jumped to a double-digit lead and then coasted. Don't get excited about the Hawks' late rally. They might be proud of their effort, but they rallied and lost by 10 points to the Celtics' second team. The Boston Three Party (Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen) watched the final 12 minutes.
