Four-star forward Jordan Nwora, a Georgia Tech basketball recruit, committed to Louisville’s signing class of 2017 on Wednesday.

Nwora announced his decision on Twitter in a statement that read in part, "I would like to thank all the coaches, players, staff members and school officials who took time out of their schedules to host me for both official and unofficial visits. … After visiting Louisville, I was overwhelmed with supports from coaches, players, fans and the community. As a result of the combination of this support, the strength of the Louisville basketball program and academics, I have decided to commit to the University of Louisville."

Around his official visit to Tech, 247 Sports reported Nwora had two visits from Louisville coach Rick Pitino on Oct. 6 and Oct. 12 and an official visit to Louisville’s campus on Saturday. Pitino also visited Nwora on Sept. 23 and Nwora’s parents Sept. 26, according to 247 Sports.

Listed at No. 91 on ESPN 100’s top recruits of 2017 list, Nwora included Tech in a list of his top 12 schools on Oct. 3 and officially visited Tech on Oct. 7, according to 247 Sports. Tech coach Josh Pastner’s last visit to Nwora, a 6-foot-8, 220-pound senior at the Vermont Academy in Buffalo, N.Y., was on Sept. 14, according to 247 Sports.

With five scholarships to give after the commitment of New York’s Jose Alvarado on Sept. 15, the Jackets are looking to pick up a few more recruits by November’s early signing period.
