Nick Saban doesn’t care about the solar eclipse

What’s the big deal?

That’s Alabama Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban’s response to questions surrounding Monday’s solar eclipse and whether the team would take precautions to avoid eye damage.

Truth is, Saban has already seen the eclipse ... on the Weather Channel. So, big whoop.

“If you watch the Weather Channel, you can see what it’s going to be like in Portland, Oregon. Clayton, Ga., is the number one place in the country to have 100 percent … my house there is probably going to be the only empty house on the lake.”

Saban owns a home on Lake Burton. He sold a similar home for about $11 million.

“Maybe we should have a team meeting about how we’re going to do this,” Saban deadpanned on Saturday. “We’ll set it up so if the players want to go out there and get some sunglasses and look at it, I guess they can.”
