Braves left fielder Matt Kemp was out of the lineup for Friday’s game against the Brewers after he left the previous night’s game because of what the team said was tightness in his left hamstring. Manager Brian Snitker said Kemp told him he would be available to pinch hit.

Kemp left Thursday’s victory over the Giants after hitting a single in the fifth inning. The Braves placed Kemp went on the 10-day disabled list in April because of a right hamstring strain, and he sat out a game June 16 because of a sore left hamstring.

“Kind of like the last time it happened, just want to be sure and we’ll test it again tomorrow,” Snitker said. “We just don’t want to push it right now with his history.”

Brandon Phillips also left Thursday’s game after he said he experienced tightness in his left groin. He was back in the lineup Friday.
