Braves player scoops up live bat

A bat landed on the infield during the second inning of the Braves' game against the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday at Turner Field.

Play was stopped as Braves infielder Paul Janish bravely scooped up the bat in his glove and transferred it to a Braves bat boy, who took the squirming mammal inside a folded towel into the dugout. Other players taunted the bat boy, who then presented it to the ground crew.
