Gratton, 26, played 19 games with Philadelphia last season. He had a goal and two assists. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound forward has played in 86 career NHL games with Philadelphia and Phoenix.
Vernace, 23, played 12 games with Colorado last season without scoring a point. The 6-2, 200-pound defenseman has played 174 career AHL games with Lake Erie and Albany.
