*The Thrashers return home after a 1-3 road trip to Florida and Canada. Atlanta scored just seven goals on the trip. The Thrashers remain third in the NHL in goals per game at 3.10.

*The Thrashers have one goal from a defenseman in the past nine games. Zach Bogosian still leads the NHL in goals by defensemen – tied with the Kings’ Drew Doughty (8) – but hasn’t scored in 12 games.

*Colby Armstrong has a two-game goal-scoring streak.

*The Thrashers are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 33 points.

*The Canadiens make their first trip to Philips. The teams split two games in Montreal this season.

*The Canadiens had a three-game win streak snapped with Thursday’s loss to the Penguins. Tomas Plekanec leads Montreal with 31 points (6 goals, 25 assists).
