Thrashers acquire Artyukhin from Ducks

The Thrashers acquired forward Evgeny Artyukhin from Anaheim on Monday night for minor-league defenseman Nathan Oystrick and a conditional draft pick in 2011.

Artyukhin, 6 feet 4 and 255 pounds, has nine points (five goals, four assists) in 37 games this season.
The 26-year-old Moscow native played last season for Tampa Bay. In 182 career NHL games over three seasons, he has 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists) and 282 penalty minutes.
Artyukhin was originally a third-round pick (94th overall) in 2001 by Tampa Bay.
Oystrick, 27, has recorded 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) and a plus-six rating in 41 games with AHL Chicago this season. He appeared in 53 games with the Thrashers during his rookie season in 2008-09, recording 12 points (four goals, eight assists).
The NHL trade deadline is Wednesday at 3 p.m.
