• The Thrashers have won two straight after Monday’s 3-2 shootout victory over the Rangers. Johan Hedberg got the win and is 15-3 all-time in shootouts.
• Colby Armstrong has a goal in each of the past four games. He also has an assist for five points during the goal streak.
• The Thrashers are just 4-for-23 on the power play in the past five games.
• This will be the third meeting between the Thrashers and the Panthers this season, the Thrashers winning both meetings by one goal. Hedberg won both games, stopping a total of 55 of 59 shots.
• Nathan Horton leads the Panthers with 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists). He scored three goals in the Panthers’ 7-1 over the Islanders Monday.
• The Thrashers next return home to host the Stars on Thursday. That’s the first of a three-game homestand. The Thrashers will then play their next seven games on the road, concluding a month-long stretch on Jan. 5 in which 13 of 17 games were away from Philips Arena. The Thrashers are 10-5-1 on the road this season.
