  • This is the last of three meetings but the first at New Jersey. The Hawks won 130-107 on Dec. 13 and 119-89 on Jan. 6.
  • The Hawks have lost five straight at New Jersey. They last won there on Feb. 4, 2007, when Tyron Lue scored at the buzzer for a 101-99 overtime victory.
  • The Nets got off to the worst start in NBA history at 0-18. With a 7-59 record they are on pace to tie the 1972-73 76ers for the worst season in NBA history at 9-73.
  • The Nets have lost 11 straight games at home. They last won there on Jan. 27 vs. the Clippers.
  • Hawks forward Joe Smith could play in his 1,000th career game tonight. Smith would be the 11th active player to reach that mark after Suns guard Steve Nash did so on Sunday.
  • Joe Johnson (Achilles’) is out and Mike Bibby (back) is questionable for the Hawks. Yi Jianlian (ankle) is out for the Nets.
