The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The Falcons released running back Verron Haynes and moved wide receiver Troy Bergeron up to the 53-man active roster from the practice squad on Saturday.

With wide receiver Brian Finneran sitting out Sunday's 1 p.m. game against Tampa Bay with a knee injury, the Falcons were thin at the wide receiver position.

Haynes has played in six games this season for the Falcons, catching three passes for 20 yards.
