The Falcons quarterback won for Best Breakthrough Athlete Wednesday in ESPN's award ceremony at the NOKIA theatre in Los Angeles. The reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year was selected over gymnast Shawn Johnson, Tampa Bay Devil Rays third baseman Evan Longoria and Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose.
The show was taped on Wednesday and ESPN will air Sunday at 9 p.m.
