Betting windows open: Nevada says Falcons miss playoffs
● It’s a short week for the Falcons, who play the Rams at 8 p.m. Friday in St. Louis in their second exhibition game.
● This week could be the earliest that safety William Moore could return from his arthroscopic knee surgery. He was slated to be out two to four weeks.
● Falcons coach Mike Smith will likely announce his quarterback rotation for the Rams game on Wednesday or Thursday.
● The team will leave for St. Louis after Thursday’s practice.
A look back
● Wide receiver Roddy White reported for practice Monday. He was in good shape and ran crisp routes in his first day at practice after agreeing to a six-year, $48 million contact extension.
● The Falcons held Alumni Day on Tuesday. More than 70 former players, including six members from the original 1966 season, attended practice.
● Former quarterback Michael Vick signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles and held a press conference Friday.

Sunday: No practice
Monday: Two practices, 9:30 a.m.; 3:45 p.m.
Tuesday: Two practices, 8:30 a.m.; 3:45 p.m.
Wednesday: Two practices, 8:30 a.m.; 3:45 p.m.
Thursday: Two practices, 10:25 a.m.
Friday: Game at St. Louis Rams, 8 p.m.
Note: All practices are closed to the public.
Dates to remember
Sept. 1: Roster cut down to maximum of 75 players
Sept. 5: Roster cut down to maximum of 53 players
Sept. 13: Season opener vs. Miami at the Georgia Dome
