A look ahead

● It’s a short week for the Falcons, who play the Rams at 8 p.m. Friday in St. Louis in their second exhibition game.

● This week could be the earliest that safety William Moore could return from his arthroscopic knee surgery. He was slated to be out two to four weeks.

● Falcons coach Mike Smith will likely announce his quarterback rotation for the Rams game on Wednesday or Thursday.

● The team will leave for St. Louis after Thursday’s practice.

A look back

● The Falcons held Alumni Day on Tuesday. More than 70 former players, including six members from the original 1966 season, attended practice.

● Former quarterback Michael Vick signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles and held a press conference Friday.
