A look ahead

● After a short week, the Falcons get a full week in before facing San Diego at 8 p.m. Saturday in the home opener at the Georgia Dome. The game will be nationally televised.

● Monday is the last day of two-a-day practices, signaling the end of training camp.

● Running back Thomas Brown (leg) and safety William Moore (knee) could return to action this week.

● Falcons coach Mike Smith likely will announce his quarterback rotation for the Chargers game late in the week.

● Starters are expected to play at least half of the game against the Chargers.

A look back

● Starting cornerback Chris Houston suffered a hamstring injury and did not practice all week. Chevis Jackson started in his place against the Rams.
