Both of Johnson’s homers came off left-handed Tides starter Troy Patton, the first one to center field with no outs in the first and the second to right-center with two outs in the fifth. His seventh RBI came in the seventh, a lined shot to right off right-hander John Perrault.
Reliever Buddy Carlyle, in his first rehab appearance since being diagnosed with diabetes last month, pitched a scoreless inning while striking out two.
