G-Braves fall to Lehigh Valley in extra innings

The first run scored on a bases-loaded walk issued by G-Braves reliever Juan Perez with no outs. With one out Mike Cervenak’s single drove home two runs off of reliever Luis Valdez.
Trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the eighth, Gwinnett tied the score 5-5 when Brandon Jones drove home a run with a two-out triple. In the ninth, Brooks Conrad struck out with two outs and a runner on third.
Jeff Bennett started for the G-Braves and pitched one inning. He allowed two hits and two earned runs, with one walk allowed. Buddy Carlyle came in after Bennett and pitched two innings. He allowed three hits, but no runs, and he had one strikeout.
