The Georgia Bulldogs received their 10th verbal commitment — and sixth from the state of Florida — late Thursday night from linebacker Deon Rogers of Port St. Lucie, Fla., according to UGASports.com.

Rogers (6-foot-3, 197 pounds) had 40 tackles and 12 quarterback sacks as a linebacker at Treasure Coast High last season. However, he projects as a safety or outside linebacker at the collegiate level.

” When I went up there I just fell in love with the campus, everything about it,” Rogers told the website. “I didn’t see [any] use in waiting any longer. So I talked it over with my coaches then went ahead and made the call.”

Rogers was recruited by UGA linebackers coach John Jancek. He chose Georgia over Duke, Buffalo, Florida International and Western Michigan.
