Saxby Chambliss says he’d vote to expel Alaska senator, and Sarah Palin may be ready to replace him
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Saxby Chambliss said Wednesday that he’ll vote to expel Republican colleague Ted Stevens, should the long-time Alaskan senator win his re-election bid.
Stevens was convicted of seven felony counts last month related to the failure to report gifts from lobbyists. He is leading narrowly in his re-election bid but has not officially been declared the winner of a seventh full Senate term.
“First of all, I hope Senator Stevens is successful in being re-elected. And assuming that he is, I intend to support any motion to remove him,” Chambliss said during a press conference with John Ensign of Nevada, the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina has served notice that he’ll seek to expel Stevens from the Senate Republican Conference at a meeting next Tuesday.
While Ensign said that he, too, would vote to expel Stevens from the GOP circle — a move that would foreshadow expulsion by the entire Senate — the Nevada senator counseled waiting to see whether Stevens wins his race.
“If he actually wins the election, then you have to expel him twice. And so it’s probably better to let Alaska — it’s probably going to take a while to count all the votes up there — let that take place, then after the first of the year deal with it,” Ensign said.
Expulsion or, more likely, a resignation would trigger a 90-day special election to replace him, Ensign said. It would also give Republicans a chance to keep the seat out of Democratic hands.
Gov. Sarah Palin, the former GOP vice presidential candidate, has been mentioned as a candidate if Stevens leaves or is ousted. And just by coincidence, she was interviewed this afternoon on CNN’s “Larry King Live.”
In the interview, which airs at 9 p.m. tonight, King asked Palin if she intends to finish out her term. ” I will do what the people of Alaska want me to do,” Palin replied. “If they call an audible on me, and if they say they want me in another position, I’m going to do it.”

David Brooks is right about Palin: She is indeed a cancer on the Republican Party.
So I guess we Dems don’t have to bother with saying “a pox on the GOP’s house.” Looks like they already have one!

Saxby got 2 1/2 million for reducing controls on wall street; We got screwed! Now we need Pull (with a capital “P”) in Washington. Saxby will “Pull” us all down the sewer, with him! The only thing Saxby will do for Georgia is stink the place up! (North Carolina will get 10 times as much as Georgia from Washington because of 1 democrat senator) Wake up Georgians! Times are going to be bad! We will need help from Washington! Saxby can’t get it!

“if the people want me in another position”? Huh? Once again , Palin exhibits (or professes) ignorance. If she replaced felon Stevens, it would because SHE SELECTS HERSELF.
Hot damn! Sary Palin and the Wasilla Hillbillies head for ol’ DC. Yeee Haw! Looks like her redneck hubby will need to keep those $40,000 worth of duds after all. He might miss a few of the Alaskan Independence Party meetings, though.

The bad news is that some candidates will have a given number of supporters no matter how devisive or reprehensible their stance may be on issues of the day.
But, the good news is that the population of those supporters keeps getting smaller and smaller.
The fabric of the country is in shambles after 8 years of neglect and instead of any constructive thought all we hear are cries of “socialist”. A democracy always gets the government it deserves.

“True” Texas is the Texas Railroad Commission, Big Oil and the Rockefellers; Dallas’ police department, municipal government and legal establishment on November 22, 1963, and a statewide history of corruption and racism in defiance of the ideals and principles of the American Whig Founders.
There is only One America, with 50 states, under Annuit Coeptis and the Creed. The state in question, like Alaska, shall now be turned back to the true American path with the ebbing of the fascist Bushite/Nixon/Rockefeller faction and the rise of the People’s president to office…and it is spelled T-E-X-A-S.
The Roman Anti-Christ’s plan is to promote illegal immigration by their adherents/slaves of the Babylonian pedophile priesthood. Its Fifth Column has been greatly advanced by the Rockefeller/Bush machinations, assassinations, open border and amnesty.
E Pluribus Unum all Americans must unite. American is our language; American is Our Creed. The principles are whig (which means “anti-Roman Catholic”) and our “house” must not be divided by Rome’s agents, whether Paul Broun, advocates of illegal immigration, or those who wish Spanish to be a legitimate official language in Our Country.

Saxby’s campaign tactics of smearing a war veteran are indeed “reprehensible,” his record on veterans’ issues in the Senate may be even worse. Saxby voted to send our troops to war without proper body armor, voted 23 times to cut their healthcare when they return home, and even opposed a tax cut for our veterans while they serve in the line of duty. Saxby voted twice against Jim Webb’s dwell time amendment to give our troops more time with their families between tours of duties and opposed funding for traumatic brain injury research, the “signature wound” of the War in Iraq. It’s no wonder that so many veterans’ organizations have given Saxby poor and failing grades for his record on veterans’ issues – Saxby has failed America’s veterans.

I don’t care what religion a person chooses to adhere to or whether he or she believes in nothing but the idea that a woman who advances the radical ideas of creationism as science, who professes that homo sapiens and dinosaurs lives contemporaneously on earth, that global warming is not caused by human activity, and who refuses to release any medical records aside from a note from her doctor (what is this, high school gym?) scares me.
We already have the Air Force Academy in the hands of religious extremists we don’t need them, or any more of them, in the Senate.

Why is it Democrats are so full of hate? Instead of discussing the issues sensibly, they resort to lame insults and pseudo-intellectual attacks. Palin is the essence of what America stands for. Hate filled liberals are what is wrong with the country.
In my opinion, Palin needs to stay out of Washington in case she turns into one of “them”. By staying as governor of Alaska she can bring REAL change to Washington when she runs in 2012… and WINS because of her unique perspective. By then, Democrats will have worn out their welcome with wealth redistribution, the country will be in shambles and in need of a true hero. Go Sarah!

America “stands” for Hitler’s perspective on a woman’s sovereignty over her own body? That a raped woman must be forced to bring to term her rapist’s seed is insane and abomination…as is any who share that thoroughly un-American, Anti-Christ, papist pedophile priesthood - subjugate womanhood - view…with Palin.
She is indeed “Caribou Barbie:” inbred whitetrash with a “Dull/Normal” sub-90 I.Q..
G-d made it clear where she stands and she isn’t right.
Righteous America stands, by the Creed, with G-d by Grace…not with the likes of accursed Sarah “Barracuda.”

Vote Martin!
Martin for Pres. in 2016!
By jacksmith
November 17, 2008 6:17 PM | Link to this
WE HAVE MORE TO DO:
Democrat Jim Martin is in a runoff against Bush Republican Saxby Chambliss for the Senate seat from Georgia. Bush’s Saxby Chambliss voted against spending a few measly dollars to provide health care coverage for Georgia, and Americas needy children. But he supported wasting hundreds of billions of your dollars, and the life BLOOD of Americas finest on an unnecessary war in Iraq.
At a time when 47 million of you have no health insurance coverage, and over 100 million of you with insurance are just one major illness away from complete financial destruction. Bush and Saxby Chambliss voted to make the heart break of bankruptcy relief even harder for all of you to use.
You see, Bush and Saxby Chambliss, and his family don’t have to worry about their health care coverage. They have the finest health care coverage your tax money can buy for them. Courtesy of you. The American Tax payer. In fact, no one but the super rich can afford the health care coverage you the tax payer provide for Saxby Chambliss, and his family for FREE! with your tax dollars.
He supposedly works for you. But he doesn’t think you and your family should have access to the type of taxpayer supported FREE health care that you provide for him, and his loved ones for FREE!. Doesn’t that just make you BURRING MAD!
Vote for JIM MARTIN for US senator from Georgia. Vote for JIM Martin who will be on your side. Vote for JIM MARTIN who will work with President Obama and a majority congress for you. Vote for JIM MARTIN most of all for your-self, your family’s, friends, and loved ones. Vote for JIM MARTIN for a better America, and a better World.
Don’t let Saxby Chambliss make a chump out of you by tricking you into voting against your own best interest. Saxby chambliss is NOT! on your side. He’s not one of you. He is on George Bush’s side. And we all know what a catastrophe the Bush Chambliss administration has been the past 8 years.
Contact all your family and friends and do every thing you can to see to it that JIM MARTIN and GEORGIANS! take that senate seat back for Georgia, and America. No matter where you live in America. This is important to you. President Obama will need all the help, and power you can give him to try and fix this catastrophic mess that the Corrupt Bush Chambliss administration has created.
As I said before you will have to vote in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush Chambliss “Let Them Eat Cake” vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help everyone you can get to the polls and vote for JIM MARTIN. You and your loved ones don’t have to be Saxby Chambliss’s victims anymore.
I know you will get it done. Just like you did for President Obama.
God bless all of you

All the corrupt liberal media attacks during the campaign couldn’t stop Sarah winning 47% of the vote for McCain. He would have polled much lower without her. The various anti-Palin smears have now been exposed as baseless lies. The Dems spent twice as much as the GOP - the Dems are the party of the wealthy and of the Washington insiders. But they can’t buy everything and the fightback is on.
