Zac Swansey, who started 17 of Georgia’s 31 basketball games this season, is transferring to Tennessee Tech.

The sophomore point guard from Dunwoody said he chose the Golden Eagles over Dayton and College of Charleston. He will have to sit out next season under NCAA transfer rules and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Tennessee Tech is coached by Mike Sutton, an assistant under Tubby Smith at Georgia in 1995-97. The Eagles were 12-18 this season.
