Stephen Heyer, former president and chief operating officer of Coca-Cola Co., has been named chairman of Atlanta-based Next3D, which specializes in high-definition, 3-D movie technology and services.

Heyer was president and chief operating officer of Turner Broadcasting before joining Coca-Cola in 2001. He left Coca-Cola in 2004 and became CEO of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, which he left in 2007.
