What’s changing

This is the last week The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will publish its stand-alone Business section. On Tuesday, March 10, we will merge business news into the A section Tuesdays through Saturdays.

What’s not changing

While this move reduces the space from that in a stand-alone section, we remain committed to covering local businesses, companies and CEOs, and will continue to focus on a local angle. We’ll still provide information on Georgia stocks, Georgia company daily stock reports, stock tables and mutual fund listings on the Market Movers page.

Also, the Sunday edition will continue to have a stand-alone Business section.

Why the change

By merging the Business section into the A section, we’re able to simplify manufacturing and save paper costs. Also, in this economic climate, business news is increasingly finding its way onto 1A or into the A section.
