TO OUR READERS: Your gift can help children for the holidays

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Sunday, November 30, 2008

Thanks to the Empty Stocking Fund, children whose families struggle with economic challenges receive new, age-appropriate holiday gifts, selected by their parents. This year, more so than in recent years, there is a great need for your help.

This marks the 81st year that the Empty Stocking Fund has brightened the holiday season for children across metro Atlanta.

For as little as $10, you can provide a large toy to a child. For $20, you will give a child a toy, educational materials and clothing. More than toys, you give them hope.

Just drop your donation in the pre-addressed envelope inside today’s AJC or visit www.ajc.com/dogood/empty-stocking-fund to make your donation online.

Please join me in supporting the Empty Stocking Fund. Your contribution will make a big difference in the life of a child.

Wishing you peace this holiday season,

JOHN MELLOTT publisher, Atlanta Journal-Constitution
