Autumn colors —- gold, chocolate and copper —- and traditional furnishings create a warm and inviting feeling in the Evanshire plan, Pulte Homes’ model home at Enclave at Harmony on the Lakes.

“This is definitely a family-oriented community for move-up buyers. We decorated the model with furniture with clean lines and traditional Southern styling to appeal to today’s families,” said Monica Brown, designer with Design Environments.

Brown chose family-friendly furnishings like the family room’s gold chenille sofa, which is attractive and stylish but sturdy and comfortable as well.

She added some contemporary touches to contrast with the traditional furnishings, such as hanging a frame-less oil painting over the mantel in the great room.

Landscape paintings and arrangements of dried botanicals throughout the home continue the autumn theme and play up the bucolic location of the community.

Located in the town of Holly Springs in Cherokee County, The Enclave is part of a 630-acre master-planned community with three lakes, waterfalls and walking trails through unspoiled woodlands.

Community amenities include a family pool, adult pool, fitness center, tennis courts, sports court, playground, clubhouse with an activities director, and observation park with a bandstand and amphitheater overlooking Lake Sophia.

Breakfast nook

This area in the eat-in kitchen is large enough for a slate-topped table and six wood and iron chairs. The rust draperies and print valance match the napkins on the table. A half-wall separates the area from the great room.

Master sitting area

Comfortable armchairs with rust, green and gold stripes and a leather ottoman are a comfortable place to plop down and rest after a busy day. The window treatments include a floral print valance and soft brown draperies.

Kitchen

Family members can enjoy a snack at the breakfast bar or work on homework while mom cooks in the gourmet kitchen. The tile backsplash is a smaller version of the oatmeal tile on the floor.

Great room

The painting picks up the gold and brown used throughout the home. The entertainment center features two tones of wood and painted embellishments. The armchair has green- and gold-striped fabric. A sisal rug pulls it all together.
